In the early days of the company, the team was holding its collective breath in anticipation of the first live demonstration of the technology. Everyone had worked hard to prepare and several prominent folks were invited to attend. As with most biological experiments, a number of assays were run. Much to the delight of the team and those in attendance, Sample #6 worked spectacularly. It exceeded everyone's expectations in terms of performance. From then on, Sample #6 became a lab legend and a lucky number for the company!

Additionally, at Sample6 Technologies, we believe pathogen monitoring no longer needs to rely on taking only a handful of small samples – searching for the proverbial "needle in the haystack." Instead, we create technology that makes it easy to continuously monitor for the presence of pathogens and other unwanted microbes. Our vision is to move microbial monitoring away from small numbers of samples, to a platform that enables continuous pathogen sensing.
